The art room is first and foremost a place of expression. Students at all levels are encouraged to propose projects and refine assignments in order to hone and expand their skills. For many students, coursework is developed on an ongoing basis as they evolve as artists and discover new areas of interest. Both avid artists and the paintbrush-shy thrive in this setting.Art can be studied as an elective, as a core class or as part of an Intensive Art Program. Students engage with both traditional and new medium, under the guidance of dedicated and active professional artists. Academic courses in art history, design, aesthetics and more are available through the humanities department.
