Children do not need to be bathed every day. It is completely fine if they are bathed occasionally. How often you need to wash children’s hair depends on many factors. Follow these tips before you decide to wash children hair as mentioned below:
How often do you need to wash children’s hair?
Age: Children falling in the age group between 6-11 years may not be required to wash their hair every day. It is completely fine if they do so 3 times at maximum in a week.
Hair type: As mentioned above children within their age of 11 years may wash their hair 3 times a week until they attain puberty. Those who sweat or go swimming can just go for rinsing & conditioning & shampoo in 7 days.
Activity involvement: However, children are always involved in some of the other mischiefs, the worst to be mentioned is playing in the mud, messing city hands into their hair, thereby dirtying their hair. Little children even sweat a lot as they are so high on energy & every time their energies are channelized somewhere or the other, which ends up sweating them. In such cases, hairs must be washed as & when required to get rid of the dirt.
Puberty: Once the children attain puberty, they must wash their hair every alternative day.
Is it important to wash Children’s Hair?
Though children are less likely to keep themselves clean compared to older ones, the fact here lies is that the growth of germs & bacteria in their hairs & bodies further strengthen their immune system by allowing them to fight back with the germs affecting infections as they grow older.
Unlike adults, children do not require their hair to be conditioned every time. However, if at all required it must be applied at the ends to avoid tangles.
